Supplemental Educational Services

Laws/Rules/Guidance

There are state administrative rules that govern Supplemental Educational Services in Illinois. New rules went into effect on February 26, 2008. These rules may be found in 23 Illinois Administrative Code Part 675. Particularly important for districts to note are the elements dealing with the timetable districts must follow in delivering SES and invoicing procedures that SES providers should follow with districts. Particularly important for providers to note are the elements dealing with ethical behavior, billing, and reporting requirements. These rules plus the federal guidance document (see link below) are critical reading about SES for districts, providers, and applicants.

Federal Supplemental Educational Services Non-Regulatory Guidance. This guidance document plus the Illinois administrative rules (see link above) are critical reading about SES for districts, providers, and applicants.
