Translated Test Instructions for use with LEP Students on
2014 PSAE Day 1 (ACT) Tests

IMPORTANT:
For PSAE Day 1, the only students who may have translated instructions read to them are those who are limited English proficient (LEP) and will be using State-Allowed testing materials.  If translated instructions are used for any other students, their ACT scores (if applicable) will be cancelled. These instructions may be read to examinees by a test administrator qualified to act in this role (being proficient in English is a qualification) or may be provided to students for them to read themselves.

Students needing translated instructions in the same language may be tested in the same room as long as all requirements for testing students in the same room are followed.

In addition to the translated instructions, the test administrator will need a copy of ACT’s 2014 Administration Guidelines for State-Allowed Accommodations. This is provided online and in the Day 1 secure test materials shipment sent to the Test Accommodations Coordinator.  All test administration guidelines and procedures must be followed exactly.

All files are posted in .pdf format, which requires the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to access.
