2013 PSAE Training Webcast and Established Sites Now Posted

In preparation for the spring 2013 administration of the Prairie State Achievement Examination (PSAE), the pre-recorded Test Administration Training Webcast is now available online at www.isbe.net/assessment/htmls/psae_webinar.htm. In addition to the webcast, you are invited to attend one of four scheduled Question and Answer Sessions to address any questions you may have regarding administration of the test. Additionally, training materials for the spring 2013 administration were shipped to the attention of the Test Supervisor and should have already arrived the week of December 10, 2012.

A list of established PSAE Test Sites for 2012-13 has now been posted online at http://www.isbe.net/assessment/pdfs/2013/psae/test-site-codes.pdf. This list contains the school name, RCDTS Code, and ACT High School Code.

What Does the Webcast Cover?
The webcast provides detailed instructions for all steps of test administration such as:

The webcast also highlights what’s new for the year, including procedural changes, the testing cycle schedule, critical issues, and common pitfalls.

Question and Answer Sessions
These sessions are each tentatively scheduled for one hour, or until all questions are answered. To participate in any Q&A session you must register. You may register for a Q&A session by selecting the session of your choice:

An email confirmation will be sent to you upon successful registration. This email will contain the URL link to join the Q&A session as well as the call in number to be able to hear and ask questions during the Q&A session.

All staff should view all three parts of the 2013 PSAE Training webcast and thoroughly review the training materials. Newly-appointed staff are expected to attend a Question and Answer session. Previously trained staff are encouraged, but not required, to attend a Q&A session. All three parts of the webcast should be viewed prior to participating in a Q&A session.
