PLEASE NOTE DATE REVISIONS

ISBE Hosts Online Scoring Webinars for IAA Writing Test - DATE REVISIONS

Please see the revised schedule below. Everything else remains the same. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Teachers and IAA Coordinators administering the new IAA Writing test April 2-20 can take advantage of the new Online Scoring option to submit student scores. To assist teachers and administrators in using the online system, ISBE and Pearson Educational Measurement (PEM) are holding four webinars, with separate sessions for teachers and IAA Coordinators.

Each teacher or IAA Coordinator webinar will deliver the same information.

Thursday, March 15: 3-4:30 p.m. - Coordinator Webinar

Tuesday, March 20: 1-2:30 p.m. - Teacher Webinar

Wednesday, March 28: 8:30-10 a.m. - Teacher Webinar

Wednesday, March 28: 1-2:30 p.m. - Coordinator Webinar

A webinar is an online presentation in which participants can sit at any computer with Internet access and view an online presentation. Participants will dial into an 800 number for the presentation. A speaker phone will be necessary for individuals sharing one computer.

To sign-up for one of the webinars, access Pearson's Assessment Network at www.pearsonaccess.com/il. On the landing page under the title, "Training Registration," select the GO link for the registration site. Once there, you will register for either a teacher session or a coordinator session using the e-mail of the computer where you will access the presentation. Only one e-mail address is needed for groups who will share one computer and phone line. After registering, Pearson will e-mail participants a web link with the webinar log-in instructions and the 800 number. This e-mail will come approximately 1 day before the scheduled session.

Registration is on a first-come basis, with approximately 250 openings for each webinar. The deadline to register is 3 working days prior to the webinar date.

For questions about the webinar registration process, e-mail Pearson at iaa_pearson@pearson.com. For general IAA questions, e-mail Marilyn Leveque at mleveque@isbe.net.
