IAA Regional Trainings for 2007 Fall Pilot – Online Registration Now Available

The online registration for the Fall IAA Trainings is currently underway. Sessions are from either 8:30-11:30 or 12:30-3:30 at the following locations:

Aug. 28: Whittington – Rend Lake

Aug. 29: Belleville – Lindenwood University

Aug. 30: Decatur – Decatur Public Library

Aug. 31: Chicago – Medill Training Center and Bridge Elementary

Sept. 5: Rockford – Klehm Arboretum

Sept. 6: Northbrook – Techny Towers Conference Center

Sept. 7: Lisle – Hilton Hotel (both sessions are full – wait list only)

This year ISBE is asking districts to only send the IAA Coordinator and one or two lead teachers to the trainings. If districts follow this procedure, lead teachers can train those who do not attend and thus allow the majority of teachers to remain in the classroom. We hope this process will allow all districts that wish to attend the trainings to do so.

ISBE will post the Regional Training PowerPoint and a training video online at the end of August for districts to use in training teachers who do not attend.
